To be clear, I don't care about the man himself. My mom left him before I was born because he became abusive. But more in a general reference to that part of my background, and if there's any people he is/was related to. Or even half-siblings. Whether or not I ever reach out to them, I don't know. Probably not, and leave well enough alone. But its been a nagging thought of mine since I first learned why my mom left the guy. To know if they even exist.

Is it a nightly thing, or when you see emergency services with sirens?

Is it a routine? Do you use structural frame work for prayers? Or is it a more personal conversation with God? Or both depending.

I stopped daily prayer from ages 17 to 23. The days of of my substance abuse. I would only pray as a "I need you, right now, due to my own failings".

Right now my prayer is daily but less structured. I start with an Our Father and then "talk" to God. I vocalize my failings and concerns out loud but in private as part of my prayer.

I know this is very personal to ask.

In January, I started developing a product off of it, and started talking to people as potential design partners, to find out what the market had and what people were concerned about. I spent another month and a half interviewing practitioners, developers, and execs, and started working on building it into something real. All of my market research shows that what I'm building is unique, novel, and nobody else is really operating in the space, despite it likely going to be necessary internationally with the AI legislation going into place.

Then last week, as I was finishing building, news broke that OpenAI had acquired OpenClaw. I won't go into what OpenClaw is; you can read about it, but it can effectively let you use hardware you might already have to make a personal assistant. There are lots of security and governance concerns, and I realized what I was building had an application in that area as well. I finished my initial build and heard on a podcast that a launch accelerator was accepting applications for its next cohorts, focused on this OpenClaw stuff, at least partially. They were soliciting pitches to a dedicated email address, so I figured what the hell, and sent a brief pitch of me, who I am, my history, and what I built.

Yesterday morning, I woke up to an email requesting that I give them a 15-minute pitch this week. That's scheduled for Friday. If I get in, I get a six-figure funding chunk in exchange for part of the company, and participate in a three-month program refining my pitch, marketing plans, and operations while working with a founder mentor and others. I will also have the opportunity to pitch to over 200 investors who are part of their larger syndicate of investors to raise a seed round.

I have full monetization and business plans partially built, but basically need to focus the most on getting my pitch right for Friday. I have 5 minutes to demo, 5 minutes to pitch my plan, and 5 minutes to answer questions.

I was CTO of a pre-seed startup that ended up going nowhere from 2024-2025 because our founder kept endlessly pivoting, so I do have experience with pitches, but not this compressed. I should do alright with it, I'm confident with my product, and it fills a niche that is going to be needed very soon.

Has anyone gone through anything like this before?

I’m still on the two BSU forums, but not really doing politics directly. Sarcasm (politically tinged) on occasions because I lack the self-discipline to avoid, but I’m pretty bored with online discussions involving contention.
